“Roots, Culture, and West Indian Pride”

About Us
A'Nalo and A'Nala were born in sunny Naples, Florida — but their roots run deep in the U.S. Virgin Islands. With a mother from St. Thomas, a father from St. Croix, and grandparents from Jamaica and Antigua, these joyful siblings represent a new generation of island pride and cultural connection.
My West Indian Adventure was created to help children like A'Nalo and A'Nala discover and celebrate their heritage in a fun, meaningful way. Through vibrant stories, tropical scenes, and educational play, the series introduces Caribbean culture with pride — not just for island kids, but for children everywhere.
Whether you're exploring your own roots or discovering the islands for the first time, we welcome you to join us on this adventure — one page, one letter, one number & one island at a time.
Meet the Author
Hello! I'm Taqur A. Ludvig (a.k.a. Peachy), a Caribbean-American mom, poet, and creative soul behind the scenes. I'm a self-published author who simply wanted to give my kids books that reflect who they are — and now I’m honored to share those stories with families around the globe. From affirming rhymes to island riddles, I create with purpose, pride, and love — because representation matters.
